Periam moves to Germany from Turkey.
Ford Motor has promoted veteran UK executive Will Periam to chief financial officer of its European subsidiary.
Periam, 49, moves to the role from his post as second-in-command at Ford’s Turkish joint venture.
Periam takes over from Lyle Watters, who becomes head of Ford’s South America operations. Periam’s role differs from that of Watters, who was also head of strategic planning. Ford said it had since split its European business strategy office from the finance function.
Periam will be based in Ford of Europe’s head office in Cologne, Germany.
Periam, a UK national, has been deputy general manager of the Ford Otosan joint venture in Turkey since 2013. Prior to that, he was director of business strategy for Asia Pacific and Africa. He moved to that role in 2009 from the position of regional treasurer for Ford in South America.
He joined Ford in 1989 as a financial analyst for Ford of Britain and has a degree in management sciences from Manchester University in England.
Periam’s job at Ford Otosan will go to Lisa Tresigne-King, 46, who is also British. She is currently Ford’s global purchasing director for chassis.
